Homeschool Programs
Our Mission...
Camp Albemarle's homeschool program's are dedicated to providing families with opportunities for their students to learn, grow, and engage while exploring God's creation.
Each program is geared toward supporting our homeschool families and providing supplemental age appropriate learning activities.
Students will grow in critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, all in an outdoor environment.
Sprouts
(5 and 6 years old)
Tuesdays & Thursdays

Sprouts is for children ages 5-6. The class is two days a week and offers devotional time, free play, and teacher-led activities. Activities will focus on sensory learning, letter and number recognition, art, and nature identification.
Wanderers
(7 and 8 years old)

The Wanderers are our 7-8 year old group. Students will enjoy a variety of activities including devotional time, free play, and teacher-led activities. Activities will focus around sensory learning, nature identification, science, and arts.
Adventurers
(9 and 10 years old)
Wednesdays

The adventurers is our 9 and 10 year old group. Students will enjoy a variety of activities including devotional time, free play, and teacher-led activities. Activities will focus around nature identification, science, team building and arts.
Voyagers
(11 and 12 years old)

The Voyagers is our 11 and 12 year old group. Students will enjoy a variety of activities including devotional time, free play, and teacher-led activities. Activities will focus around Science Technology, Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) concepts and team building.
Eco Explorers
(13 and 14 years old)

The Eco Explorers is our 11 and 12 year old group. Students will enjoy a variety of activities including devotional time, free play, and teacher-led activities. Activities will focus around Science Technology, Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) concepts and team building.
Prices above reflect the price for the full year. We offer an auto draft payment plan that breaks the total into 9 equal monthly payments.
About Our Homeschool Program
Daily Schedule (All classes are 12 pm noon until 3pm)
Each programs daily schedule may vary depending on activities, weather, and student interest. The following is an example of how a program day may run.
Check in:
- Children will have free time until everyone arrives.

- If you are running late, please let your teacher know.
Opening Circle:
- Students will join in an opening circle. This routine will foster a sense of belonging as well as allow each student a chance to be valued as an individual.
- Staff members will lead the daily devotion.
Daily Activity:
- Students will be required to participate in a teacher-led activity each day. These activities many be anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Some activities will be lesson the focus on science, engineering, art, math, or environmental education.
- Other activities include archery, kayaking, sound exploration, tree climbing, foraging lessons, survival education, or other challenge/ teambuilding activities.
Free Play/ Group Game/ Hike
- Students will get an opportunity to run and play. Staff will offer group games for those interested. (Some examples include capture the flag, kickball, gaga, and manhunt)
- Students will explore camp’s beautiful acreage.
- Each day student will get a snack. Snack will be offered towards the end of the program.
